The Massachusetts State House was built in 1798 and is one of the oldest buildings in the Beacon Hill section of Boston. Bryant provided structural engineering services for the relocation of the Data Center to the basement in an area known as the Coal Pocket. In order to relocate the Data Center, structural supports were analyzed to confirm that they are able to take on new loads of the equipment.
Bryant’s responsibilities included providing structural analysis and design of concrete equipment pads for new electrical and mechanical equipment, design of a structural steel support hanger system for air handling units and wall penetrations for ventilation duct work.
