Bryant survey crews performed topographic survey services for multiple areas within the project limits of the I-95 Providence Viaduct / US Route 6/10 Interchange in Rhode Island.
This work was done in support of the preliminary design of a multi-million dollar replacement bridge project for I-95 Providence Viaduct northbound, one of the most heavily traveled roadways in the Northeast. The bridge replacement will be design-build and will significantly improve traffic conditions in this vitally important area. Bryant was assigned the task of establishing horizontal and vertical survey control and referencing the survey to the Rhode Island State Plane Coordinate System (NAD’83) and NAVD 1988. Bryant was responsible for preparing and providing oversight of the Transportation Management Plan and associated traffic control plans to perform the survey work. Coordination was required with multiple entities including the Rhode Island Department of Transportation for work notification and traffic alerts, the Rhode Island State Police for detail officers, and our traffic control subconsultant responsible for maintaining safe work conditions on roadways and highways.
The project had an accelerated schedule to perform the field survey and provide CADD deliverables. Bryant achieved all project milestones and maintained the budget at its completion.
