Celebrating the Saint Elizabeth Water Tower
On December 4th, 2018, DC Water celebrated the completion of the Saint Elizabeth Water Tower, a 2 million-gallon tank providing water system improvements for DC residents east of the Anacostia River. The water storage tower is located near Saint Elizabeth’s Hospital, a designated National Historic Landmark and will serve the community where water pressure has historically been much lower than in other parts of the city.
The celebration included Bryant staff members, Jeff Bryant and Brenda Pardo, as well as other consultants and organizations that contributed to the overall success of the project. Bryant’s work included: construction management, including close contractor coordination, construction contract interfacing, construction progress monitoring and scheduling, resolution of unusual or difficult construction conditions, redesign for changed field conditions; as well as specifications interpretation, answering contractor requests for information; contractor claims analysis, evaluation and negotiation; processing contract change orders and payment requests; and final inspection and contract close-outs.
