Salem Glass Company was selected to design and install 177-new windows before students returned for the fall semester. Bryant was tasked to provide detailed and accurate measurements on a tight deadline for each exterior window so the fabrication could proceed quickly.
Bryant performed a Terrestrial Laser Scanning for a safe, accurate and quick way to acquire data rich-point clouds to provide precise dimensions. To obtain maximum accuracy, 32 laser scan positions were used at ground level and adjacent roofs. The deliverable was a detailed spreadsheet and screen captures of the dimensioned windows.
Utilizing the scanner eliminated the need to rent a man lift and perform manual measurements of each window and significantly reduced the time to provide the deliverables and was cost and time efficient.
