Bryant provided topographic and utility survey, as well as civil engineering design services to support the replacement of approximately 1.15 miles (6,120′) of 6″ – 20″ small water mains in high traffic areas along Wilkins Avenue.
The project had some significant challenges, including: maintaining continuous service to St. Agnes Hospital, MD State Route 1 (the original US Route 1) is concrete; a 20″ gas main sat directly on top of the watermain alignment; and a sizeable portion of residential properties that could have been affected in both Baltimore City and Baltimore County. Bryant’s design accounted for these complexities and the project was successfully completed.
